As the BRICS cooperation mechanism continues to strengthen its cohesion and expand its influence, Jiangsu enterprises are actively embracing the "BRICS Plus" initiative and achieving significant development. In the first eight months, Jiangsu's import and export trade with BRICS member countries grew by 4.4% year-on-year.

Entering the production workshop of Changshu Switch Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the automated production lines have been operating at high speed for several days, with the company's newly developed generation of plastic-enclosed circuit breakers being continuously manufactured, packaged, and boxed. It is reported that this batch of products will soon be shipped to Saudi Arabia by sea to support local power grid construction projects. The company's distribution equipment, switch devices, and smart power distribution systems are widely used in the power, transportation, petrochemical, and new energy sectors, achieving impressive performance in BRICS markets. From January to August this year, exports to BRICS countries reached 130 million yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of over 50%.

Ni Jun, the manager of the International Trade Department of Changshu Switch Manufacturing Co., Ltd., said, "We customize flexible supply plans based on the actual needs of local projects. On the one hand, we establish long-term cooperation with local top engineering contractors to deliver complete sets of products; on the other hand, we actively explore new models of 'component export, local assembly' to further accelerate project response speed and compress delivery costs." In the first eight months of this year, Changshu imported and exported 13.93 billion yuan to other BRICS member countries, showing a trend of higher technological content and stronger market vitality. The accelerated expansion of product structure towards high-tech products such as photovoltaic products, lithium batteries, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, industrial robots, and CNC machine tools provides high-quality supply for the green and low-carbon transformation and manufacturing upgrading of various countries.

Zhang Xiaochun, Deputy Director of Changshu Customs under Nanjing Customs, said, "In the first eight months, Changshu's exports of high-tech products to other BRICS member countries increased by 35.7% year-on-year. We actively implemented trade facilitation measures to meet the needs of enterprises, and took measures such as advance declaration and appointment inspection to help enterprises explore overseas markets." According to statistics from Nanjing Customs, Jiangsu's imports and exports to other BRICS member countries in the first eight months were 535.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. And industrial cooperation is also constantly deepening, with leading enterprises such as Nantong China Tianying and Xuzhou Construction Machinery increasing their investment in BRICS countries. The latest data shows that as of July this year, Jiangsu enterprises have invested in 1110 projects in BRICS countries, working hand in hand with the local community to walk the path of common prosperity.
